Subject : P&S: what to check? What to buy?
Respected photographers, I am new to photography but with a lot of enthusiasm for photography. To start with initially, i am thinking of a P&S camera. Please suggest whether i should go for it or with entry level DSLR? Please keep in mind that i have a low budget. Please also let me know that What qualities/ features should a point and shoot camera have? It's lens parameters? Aperture? Sensor? Mega pixels? Zoom? Etc etc. Please support your answers with good reasons and logics. Please suggest a good P&S camera under the light of your reply BUT in a good economical price ( kam kharach Bala nasheen). 'Economical' as defined in my title post. ' kam kharach Bala nasheen' My budget is 15k but can be streched to 20k subject to a nice option

15 to 20k is just normal range... i mean all the camera's in this range will be just good enough to buy... so as ifoo said go check and just buy

Agreed with all suggestions.
Go to the shop.
Take a look
Feel it in the hand
If comfortable & easily operable then go for it.
One thing I suggest
If possible then prefer Canon/Nikon/Sony
